Dick Fischer, long time school bus transportation industry stalwart, has been presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by KSPTA on the evening of June 30, 2010. He initiated through Richard Nixon, National School Bus Safety Week in 1960 and successfully obtained its first Presidential Proclamation in 1969. Dick is widely known for the school bus safety seminars he has conducted for many school districts and state departments of education.
